Performance

The heart of this orbital sander is its high-capacity 1300W motor, which maintains consistent torque output even under significant working loads.

The integrated 6-speed electronic module allows the operator to precisely match the rotational velocity to the material threshold. Operating between 1400 and 3000 rpm, the lower speed boundaries prevent thermal build-up and paint burn during compounding phases, while the higher thresholds provide the high-velocity kinetic action needed for rapid substrate levelling and rust removal.

Benefits

  • Dual-Function Utility: Eliminates the logistical and financial need for independent tools by shifting effortlessly from a flattening orbital sander to an automotive buffer.

  • Enhanced Surface Coverage: The Ø170mm backing pad maximises surface contact area, drastically reducing the total processing time on expansive flat zones like vehicle bonnets, boat hulls, and large tabletops.

  • Structural Durability: Designed with a heat-dissipating alloy bevel gear head that safeguards internal transmission components, alongside a lightweight, vibration-dampening composite housing.

  • Ergonomic Command: Supplied with a multi-position side handle and a lock-on trigger switch, offering tailored user comfort, reduced muscular fatigue, and steady tool control throughout prolonged operation.

Maximizing Results

To achieve the finest surface profile with this equipment, correct accessory pairing and speed sequencing are essential.

Surface Preparation & Sanding

When smoothing rough timber or stripping oxidized layers from metal panels, mount a high-grade hook-and-loop abrasive disc directly onto the Ø170mm backing pad. Set the electronic dial to speed position 4 or 5. Allow the weight of the tool to do the work; applying excessive downward pressure can cause deep swirl marks and uneven wear.

Compounding & Refining

For automotive paint correction, swap the abrasive paper for a matched foam compounding pad or a wool bonnet. Apply a small amount of cutting compound directly to the pad. Start the machine on speed setting 1 or 2 to evenly distribute the liquid across the panel without sling. Once spread, increase to speed 3 or 4 to work the micro-abrasives into the clear coat, tracking the surface in a consistent cross-hatch pattern. Keep the tool perfectly parallel to the panel to avoid edge-digging.

Final Finishing & Waxing

Drop the variable speed back down to setting 1 or 2 when applying fine glazes, finishing waxes, or polymer sealants. The low-speed oscillation minimizes friction heat, ensuring a hologram-free, high-gloss mirror finish without stripping away the protective layers you are trying to deposit.
